Heflin - Richard E. Whatley, 73, died Friday, December 21, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral services will be a private family service at a later date. Burial will follow in Happy Hill Cemetery. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Brother - Ronnie Whatley, Bradenton, FL
Brother - Dr. Terry Whatley, Mt. Brook , AL

Mr Whatley was a graduate of Clay County High school in 1964. He retired from Alabama Power after 40 years of service. Mr. Richard loved his grandchildren and enjoyed telling them stories.
