I don’t really know where to start, I first met Mack when I was a kid and he and my father worked together at D&L, and my father always thought a lot of him being his engineer. Dad always told me to treat the toolmakers good if you wanted it done right. Well I also years later became a toolmaker and after my apprenticeship working for my dad and others I had the opportunity to work under Mack’s supervision at D&L and Magna and he became a great mentor to me. And a great friend and someone I could always look to for answers both work and personal, he was always there for me just as my father has always been there for me. I do remember two distinct Quotes he said to me that I will never forget. 1st I was going to quit work I was So mad, not at Mack but his boss and had packed up all my tools onto a pallet ready to load onto my truck and Mack said what are you doing, I said I’m quitting, he said chill out and get over it, and told me some stories about others and then said “ if you take a 5 gallon bucket and fill it water put your fist in it and pull it out that hole it leaves is how much you are going to be missed! “ I decided to stay 2nd- We had been working our butt off as usual most often 7days a week, and I was getting really frustrated and Mack told me “Everyday is a Holiday and every night is a Saturday night!” Mack taught me a lot of things over the years and I will miss him dearly, I hope I can spread some of his blessings and wisdom on to others, Mack was a great boss, mentor and friend. God bless you and Rest In Peace. Joseph Parker
