Fruithurst - Joey L. Williams, 59, died Monday, August 26, 2019 at Higgins General Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM CST on Thursday, August 29, 2019, at Mt. Olive Church of God with the Rev. Billy Kennedy and Rev. Brian Gilpin, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 11:30 AM until 2:00 PM CST at Mt. Olive Church of God. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Daughter - Amy(Jeromy) Brown, Fruithurst, AL
Grandchildren - Seth, Kaly, & Gabe Brown
Sister - Carolyn Ivey, Weaver, AL
Sister - Brenda Robinson, Fruithurst, AL
Brother - Jerry Williams, Fruithurst, AL
Brother - Edward Williams, Tallapoosa, GA
Brother - Ronnie Williams, Heflin, AL
Pallbearers will be: Lonnie Williams, Keith Williams, Wayne Williams, Mark Thrower, Kenny Beagle, and Scott Ivey. Honorary pallbearers will be: J.W. Chandler, Wayne Cole, Claude Cole, Anthony Smith, Johnny Laminack, Phillip Laminack, Danny Duvall, Dale Robinson, and all his L.E. Bell coworkers and friends.
Joey was a lifelong resident of Cleburne County and a member of Mt. Olive Church of God. Joey was a mechanic by trade and the community MacGyver. He was nicknamed "911" by his L.E. Bell coworkers. He loved his family and church. Joey was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Hattie Williams and son, Jason Williams.
