Harvey was a member of Lower Cane Creek Primitive Baptist Church and served as an elder. After graduation from Cleburne County High School, he was in the United States Navy from 1950 through 1954. He was honorably discharged as Gunner's Mate Third Class. While serving in the Navy, he made life long friends that he considered brothers. Harvey worked at Turner's Dairy and retired after many years from Moore Business Forms. He enjoyed nature, traveling, and good fellowship with family and friends. He was married to his sweetheart Celia for 58 years. They lived in Heflin with their three children. He loved being Paw Paw to his precious grandchildren. Harvey humbly believed in serving God. The bond between Harvey and his siblings was a true blessing. Harvey was preceded in death by his wife Celia Nancy Teague Sanders, son Joe Neal Sanders, and parents Homer Allen Sanders and Mary Selester Barker Sanders.
Special thanks to RMC and Cleburne County Nursing Home for all their support and love.
