Fruithurst - Barbara Joan Owen Owens, 76, died Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 12, 2019, at Fruithurst Baptist Church with the Rev. David Ginn, Rev. James Owens, Dr. Christie Shelton and Rev. Cody Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Fruithurst City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, April 12, 2019 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Fruithurst Baptist Church. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be David Morrow, Mike Morrow, Jeff Hollingsworth
Aaron Boyles, Nathan Popham,and Keith Bell.
Mrs. Owens was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County. She was a member of Fruithurst Baptist Church. Mrs. Joan worked at several sewing factories in Heflin and Tallapoosa. She loved to travel and shop.
Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by her parents, Foster and Curtis Owen; a son, Tim Owens: and sisters, Betty Bradley and Bobbie Morrow.
